Hi Steve, I am a 75 year old Type 2 shooting Victoza and Lantis in the morning and Humalog (when needed). I test BG 4 times per day. I've never had a blood pressure problem, but take a low dose of BP medication to help my kidneys due to higher than normal creatine levels. I'll check back periodically. Wasn't for sure if we would interact again after the LF closed. As you know, I do not do facebook.

Good to see you! No, FB is not my thing either. In fact I wonder what HQ has in mind for that Group? Back to diabetes: I hope you will find time to participate here. I am certainly learning we all have a different set of circumstances. For example, I have never heard of the meds you use. And keeping control over kidneys? Wow, yes. My helper (the Candy mentioned in the intro area) is a Type 1 but is an assistant to a list of diabetics providing transportation to doctors. She has two right now who are waiting for transplants! One is due to lupus, the other more from alcohol, but both pushed farther by diabetes. Well, isn't that a happy story? Let's all get better.

Okay, I'll be nosey. Do you have really variable numbers during the day? What kind of numbers are you getting? That list of meds (that are all unfamiliar to me) sounds like a stronger program that left metformin in the dust! It isn't required to post medical stats but it's helpful to see how things vary, and maybe why? I expect you get a decent workout on a daily basis? Assuming,of course, that there are still sheep on the property!

Hi montanacyclist , I read all the meds you are on, how have these affected your weight or ability to lose it? I was on those plus Invokona and Bydureon. At 500-800 calories a day, I was still gaining weight...
