Since I do have this syndrome and have gone two years with both my special CROW boot and finally my custom diabetic shoes (that did me no favors,) I am asking this question. We are told to lose weight for better control of T2D, but then Charcot foot and the CROW boot stopped me from the daily one-hour walk that I enjoyed so much. Then I got my shoes and started walking the treadmill. That didn't help (see the news about tight shoes) and so now I am waiting to find out what comes next? I'm a little relectant to fully trust the people who set me up with my shoes (not so accurately fitted, it seems) but I do want to ride my bike on a trainer. I'll never get to go outdoors on my bike but the stationary rollers have allowed me a good workout in past years. I'd love to spend 30 minutes at 20mph and work off some weight. But how hard can I push the pedals? I have actually been encouraged to get a stationary bike by my podiatrist (well before I got out of my boot and into the shoes) so I suppose I will be okay. But I admit, I'll be nervous. If you read the links in the Charcot thread, you would understand my fear. Anyone want to offer anything?
